THE CONTRADICTIONS OF THE MEDITERRANEAN DIET.
AND DOUBLE CHALLENGE TO THE SO-CALLED "MEDITERRANEAN"

"SPAGHETTI? DID YOU CAUSE ME? AND I ME YOU GREAT!

Reductionist issue gluten yes and gluten no ... (Readers of this blog know perfectly well that grain problems aren't limited to gluten).

The question has now exhausted me and I would like to challenge those who say that gluten should not be eliminated for those who are "healthy" and have the analyzes in place (this already makes me laugh since Gluten Sensitivity is now accepted by the scientific community international, even if some doctors still deny the existence of this widespread problem, but there are still NO validated tests, much less genetic ones that are not yet considered reliable, and even on this I throw a gauntlet and put my face on it).

But no more chatter!

THE FIRST CHALLENGE.

To the first one who gives me ONLY ONE (I REPEAT: ONLY ONE !!!!) VALID reason (THAT IT IS VALID !!!) to eat a product containing gluten and which brings a minimum of ADDED VALUE of nutrients or micronutrients to my paleo diet and therefore also to my well-being ...

Obviously, no one in their right mind (or even unhealthy) will answer.

SECOND CHALLENGE

Today, after years and years of paleo-battles, finally, even in the beautiful country, the concept of the right balance of polyunsaturated fats has passed. Of course, not for everyone… The majority of doctors and nutritionists still don't even know what they are, let alone their right balance for health!
Okay, having said that, let's analyze what the "best" doctors and nutritionists who know and, for some time, advocate the right balance of these precious polyunsaturated fats which should be 1/1 maximum (but we are already out) 1 / 3 (omega 3 PREFORMED vs. omega 6).
Last summer I had the opportunity to attend a fantastic reading by a dear friend of mine Nutritionist of Jesi on omega 3. But the same friend continues incredibly continues to prescribe pasta, bread and legumes, in addition to olive oil ... Pillars of the Mediterranean diet.
(clearly when I was talking about it 20 years ago I was being laughed at by the same people who today talk about it with so much emphasis, and so it will happen in 5-10 years with the paleo. Get ready).

Well I wonder: why these "enlightened" people on the road to Damascus, in order not to contradict the mainstream and the Mediterranean diet, a UNESCO heritage site, and continue to pick up and coax customers, continue to recommend:

  • LOTS OF EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL (which in the best hypothesis when it is the local one with high quality olives has a 1/10 ratio)
  • LEGUMES (which can have a fat content of up to 7-8 gr. per 100 gr. and are at least half omega 6, zero long-chain omega 3)
  • WHOLE GRAINS (which are generally low in fat 1-4 gr. per 100 gr. but they are all omega 6)
  • MILK AND DAIRY PRODUCTS (very rare cases that are found from grass-fed animals and therefore with an enormously unbalanced relationship).

But no more chatter! The challenge is as follows:

someone manages to post me a dietary plan of 2400 Kcal MEDITERRANEAN THAT CONTAINS THE ABOVE PRODUCTS with 55-60% cho - 15% pro and 25-30% fat (as per Mediterranean diet prescription, inserting plenty of EVO (minimum 40 gr), legumes, cereals and dairy products and that has at the same time at least 1/3 long-chain Omega 3 vs long-chain Omega 6 ratio and without supplement? A week of diet (without any supplement, God forbid).

HONESTLY: I BELIEVE IT IS IMPOSSIBLE
To you, friends, doctors and "enlightened" nutritionist biologists ...

In case you succeed I will make a live facebook video where I will declare the self-obscuration of this blog and my definitive retirement from this world.

In paleo, using eggs, fish and organic meats is practically automatic and there is no need to count ...
