MORE SUN, LESS BREAST CANCER: 45% OFF TRIPLE NEGATIVE. THE PILLS ARE USELESS!

The link between the sun and breast cancer has just gone from suspicion to reality. On September 10, 2026, the journal of the American Association for Cancer Research , Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers & Prevention, published the first systematic meta-analysis examining receptor subtypes: 31 epidemiological studies, systematic review, and pooled random-effects analysis (Petrelli F et al., online ahead of print; DOI 10.1158/1055-9965.EPI-26-0666; PMID 42720261).

The main finding: more sun exposure, less breast cancer. The incidence was reduced by 20% (OR 0,80; 95% CI 0,74–0,86). And the newsworthy figure: for triple-negative breast cancer, the most aggressive form, the reduction reached 45% (OR 0,55; CI 0,37–0,81).

The signature is one critics won't be able to attack: Italian medical oncologists , no "alternative technicians"β€”ASST Bergamo Ovest, Casa di Cura IGEA of Milan, Fondazione IRCCS Ca' Granda Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico of Milan, ASST of Crema. Fausto Petrelli, the first signatory, is a prolific meta-analyst of the oncology establishment. When the establishment does the math, the math changes.

Sunlight enters the skin not only as vitamin D: nitric oxide, circadian rhythm, immune modulation.

AD 2017!

Exposure to the sun halves the risk of breast cancer.

THE NUMBERS, ALL OF THEM

I list them as I find them in the abstract, because each one serves a part of the argument:

  • Incidence: βˆ’20% (OR 0,80; 95% CI 0,74–0,86).
  • Subtypes: ER-negative βˆ’29% (OR 0,71; CI 0,58–0,87). Triple negative βˆ’45% (OR 0,55; CI 0,37–0,81). ER-positive: NO association.
  • Survival: diagnoses occurred in sunnier seasons β†’ mortality βˆ’16% (HR 0,84; CI 0,80–0,88).
  • Dose-response: βˆ’8% risk for every 10 relative units of exposure.
  • Quality of measurement: Case-control studies measuring personal exposure find stronger associations than cohorts using ambient ultraviolet radiation as a proxy. Those who actually measure find moreβ€”and this is the answer to the selective recall objection.
  • Methodology: The dose-response gradient is one of the Bradford Hill causality criteria. It's not proof, but it's the criterion that in epidemiology differentiates between a causal association and a signal that behaves like a cause.

Three candidate pathways: cutaneous synthesis, circadian regulation, and immune modulation. The capsule covers one at most.

THE DETAIL THAT MAKES THE THESIS: PROTECTION GOES WHERE THE PILL CAN'T REACH

Here the engineer rises from his chair. The protection isn't distributed indiscriminately: it's concentrated on ER-negative and triple-negative tumors β€”the most aggressive, those without hormonal preventive mechanisms, and those where medicine has the fewest tools. On ER-positive tumors, where hormones dominate, the sun shows no association.

If the effect were due to cholecalciferol as a molecule, it would be distributed across all subtypes: the vitamin D receptor is expressed everywhere, with no predilection for the triple-negative. Instead, the signal is concentrated precisely where immune surveillance and circadian rhythm are central. The consistent interpretation is that non-hormonal pathways of sun exposure play a major role, and the prevailing hypothesis is that the sun's protection factor lies in the entire light signal, not in the individual metabolite delivered in capsules. I write this for what it is: an interpretation, a hypothesisβ€”not a data point measured by the study.

The authors themselves state the candidate pathways, verbatim: " cutaneous vitamin D synthesis, circadian regulation, and immune modulation." Three pathways. The capsule covers one at most (if we're being kind). And the history of trials on that pathwayβ€”we'll see how it went shortly.

THE SECOND PUBLICATION: THE SEVENTH PILLAR (WHICH SHOULD BE THE FIRST! BUT IT'S ALREADY A BIG STEP FORWARD…)

Ra in Egypt, Utu/Shamash in Mesopotamia, Surya in India, Helios in Greece: the first human civilizations, separated by oceans and millennia, all deified the same thingβ€”the sun as the engine of life. It wasn't poetry: it was observation. Dawn regulated hunting, harvests, temples were aligned with the equinox, and every apparent death of nature (night, winter) was a battle that light won, restarting the cycle. The god was the signal, not the symbol. Then came artificial lighting, and within a century we forgot what ten thousand years of solar worship had written down.

The AACR meta-analysis is not an isolated case that fell from the sky. Two days earlier, on September 8, 2026, the SAGE American Journal of Lifestyle Medicine published a review proposing to consider natural light the SEVENTH PILLAR of lifestyle medicine, alongside diet, exercise, sleep, stress management, social relationships, and substance abstinence (Tremblay-LalibertΓ© M, Tremblay A; DOI 10.1177/15598276261485285; PMID 42719216).

The key sentence, verbatim: " Natural light cannot be fully replicated or substituted, and claims to the contrary remain unsupported." This is written in a lifestyle medicine journal, not on a sun and moon blog or a Facebook page followed by only four misfits.

The benefits of sunshine, they write, are β€œmediated by multiple interacting pathways rather than vitamin D alone” β€”not vitamin D alone. The additional pathways cited: cutaneous nitric oxide release, beta-endorphin production, and circadian rhythm regulation.

On metabolism, the review cites Geldenhuys's study (Diabetes, 2014, PMID 25342734): ultraviolet irradiation attenuates obesity and metabolic syndrome in animal models "through mechanisms independent of vitamin D, but dependent on other UV-induced mediators such as nitric oxide" β€”with mechanisms independent of vitamin D, dependent on other UV-induced mediators such as nitric oxideβ€”and reduces weight gain "in contrast to vitamin supplementation" β€”in contrast to supplementation, which does nothing . An engineer's clarification: preclinical study, mice on a high-fat diet. But the direction of the signal is clear: UV works where the pill stands idly by.

And then there's the data the review presents: women with greater sun exposure in Lindqvist's Swedish cohort (J Intern Med, 2016, PMID 26992108) show half the mortality rate and a longer life expectancyβ€”0,6–2,1 years in the original study, summarized to 2–3 years by the SAGE review; nonsmokers who avoid the sun have a life expectancy similar to smokers in the most exposed group. The review's summary is one that until recently would have you labeled a conspiracy theorist: avoiding the sun is a mortality risk factor comparable in magnitude to smoking. And American mortality, they cite, is approximately 25% higher in winter than in summer.

Two mainstream magazines, 48 hours apart, heading in the same direction. When convergence occurs on two independent outlets, it's no longer the opinion of an isolated individual: it's a direction taking shape.

The skin photodegrades the excess ("averting toxicity"). The capsule enters all at once, without restraint.

THE SAFETY BRAKE THAT THE SKIN HAS AND THE CAPSULE DOESN'T HAVE

There's a third piece, and with this I close the technical circle. The skin is not a passive panel that produces vitamin D in proportion to the UV dose, like a meter. It is a feedback system with an engineered safety brake: when UVB radiation is excessive, it photodegrades pre-vitamin D3 and already formed vitamin D, self-limiting productionβ€” this is documented in section 3 of Heliyon's review on neurodegeneration (Hosseinzadeh P et al., Heliyon 2026;12(15):e45428, DOI 10.1016/j.heliyon.2026.e45428), where the authors call it β€œaverting toxicity . ”

The technical comparison is clear: a system with a safety brake versus one without. Cholecalciferol capsules are a secosteroid hormone without a physiological brake, dosed over years and decades, which enters the bloodstream in one go, bypassing skin control. I've documented it here: https://www.evolutamente.it/la-vitamina-de-veleno-per-topi-approfondimento-sul-colecalciferolo/ and here: https://www.evolutamente.it/la-vitamina-d-colecalciferolo-e-un-farmaco-e-non-un-integratore/

The amusing detail: Heliyon's review describes the brake preciselyβ€”and then recommends the pills anyway. They see the phenomenon, but they don't learn the lesson. It's the short circuit this blog has been discussing for years.

PROOF TO THE CONTRARY: VITAL

If the capsule covered the protective pathway, it would be seen in supplementation trials. It isn't. VITAL, the largest randomized trial of standard vitamin D supplementation ever conducted (Manson JE et al., N Engl J Med 2019;380(1):33-44, PMID 30415629), showed no reduction in the incidence of breast cancer, nor of invasive cancers in general.

Reread today, VITAL isn't a failure: it's a confirmation by exclusion. The capsule raises the blood count, and the breast cancer continues to look elsewhere. The sun activates a system, and the signal appears. Two different inputs, two different outcomes: this isn't the behavior of a substitute, it's the signature of two completely different things.

I WRITE THE WARNINGS, AS ALWAYS

Methodological honesty, which here is a weapon and not a weakness. The meta-analysis data are observational: the authors themselves speak of "hypothesis-generating" findings β€”subject to possible confounding and misclassification of exposure, to be balanced against the risk of skin cancer. On this last point, we've already made the assessment with numbers: deaths from excess sun exposure are an order of magnitude lower than premature deaths attributable to lack of sun exposureβ€”the full analysis is here: https://www.evolutamente.it/il-sole-abbassa-la-glicemia-nature-lo-conferma-la-medicina-lo-conferma/

Conscious exposure isn't the pursuit of erythema: phototype, season, progression. But the methodological point remains: no observational study is worth dismissing with the shrug reserved for conspiracy theorists, when the signature is that of Italian oncology.

THE VITAMIN IS THE MATRIX, NOT THE MOLECULE (AND SOME PEOPLE KNEW IT VERY WELL)

There's a concept that holds the entire article together, one I've skirted around without mentioning until now: vitamins aren't real molecules, they're the matrix. The industry misunderstanding is always the sameβ€”treating the sun as a slow and unreliable vitamin D factory, and the capsule as the optimized version of the factory. But the sun isn't the vitamin factory: it's the product. It doesn't deliver a molecule, it delivers a matrixβ€”about twenty simultaneous photoproducts (at least the ones we know about), nitric oxide, beta-endorphin, circadian signaling, and the feedback brake that eliminates the excess before it becomes a dose. The cholecalciferol in the capsule, extracted from sheep lanolin through shearing, solvents, and laboratory ultraviolet irradiation, is the component detached from the system and boxed up: like selling the starter motor as "a car, a stripped-down version, without all the complications of the car ." The AACR meta-analysis just measured the cost of simplification: the protection is in the matrix, the souvenir is not.

And this is where the story gets ironic. In December 2022, I gave a private lesson on vitamin D to our friend Dr. Tom Cowan, later replicated in the webinar β€œThe Vitamin D Scam” ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=29ncWhUM0YE ): cholecalciferol as a secosteroid hormone, 25(OH)D circular test, the capsule as a weak prednisone. Among those present was the person who at the time helped me build those very arguments. Today, that same person promotes vitamin D capsules while continuing to support the β€œmatrix theory .” I won't comment: I'm recording.

From the series "viruses don't exist but maybe I'll get vaccinated anyway because I promote an ancestral approach and everyone else is a gatekeeper except me and my new bosses"

And the irony has a second dimension. Tom Cowan, the American doctor who delivered that lecture to his audience, is going further in 2026: he's contesting the very existence of vitamins as a category (webinar with Jordan Grant, September 2026).

To recap the current landscape: the mainstream is measuring the isolated molecule, hoping it will work; those who were in that room are proposing it and, to avoid a complete short-circuit, are advocating sunbathing; those who propagated it overseas deny its existence. Three opposing positions, one shared mistake: discussing HOW to use the isolated molecule without first asking whether, outside the matrix, a vitamin still exists. From my engineer's perspective: real food exists, the sun exists, and the system exists. Remove the matrix, and the vitamin remains a souvenir.

CLOSING: THE SUN AS AN ENVIRONMENTAL THERAPEUTIC TOOL

The conclusion isn't "sunbathe and heal" β€”that's not what the data says, and that's not what I'm writing. The conclusion is that sunlight, administered methodically, acts as an environmental therapeutic tool: a signal the body reads on multiple channelsβ€”hormonal, circulatory, immune, circadianβ€”and that no capsule replicates.

This is the light training I've been writing about for years: mindful exposure, proper timing, morning light for your circadian rhythm, progressive exposure according to your skin type, no need to search for sunburn. An engineer doesn't use a sensitive instrument without reading the manualβ€”and we just received previews of the sunlight manual from two mainstream magazines.

The capsule isn't the sun. And now they're writing it too.

And when the sun isn't there?

The only alternative is technology: UVB phototherapy and photobiomodulation. And yes: we patented and manufactured the devices that integrate them, with measured and certified spectra, power, and pulse ratesβ€”ELIOS LAMP Srl, Italian engineering, not red marketing panels. Validation is based on published clinical reviews:

LIGHT THAT HEALS: PHOTOBIOMODULATION ARRIVES INTO OFFICIAL MEDICINE. AND IT'S NO LONGER JUST RED.

FACT CHECK β€” β€œMORE SUN, LESS BREAST CANCER” (September 13, 2026)

TO BE CORRECTED (2 attachable points)

1. β€œThe first systematic meta-analysis on the topic”

My faultβ€”it was in my draft and I missed it. Petrelli's abstract states verbatim: "Prior meta-analyses were limited and did not examine hormone-receptor subtypes." Previous meta-analyses did exist , but they were limited and did not examine subtypes. Therefore, "the first" can be refuted with the same source we cite.

Fix ready: β€œβ€¦published the first systematic meta-analysis examining receptor subtypes: 31 epidemiological studies…”

2. Lindqvist: β€œ2 to 3 years longer” (precision)

The sentence attacks the primary citation (PMID 26992108), but the original paper states 0,6–2,1 years of additional life expectancy. The β€œ2–3 years” is the SAGE review's rounding. Anyone checking the primary source will find the number smaller.
