PART 1 - THE DISINFORMATION OF GURU - VITAMIN D
If you are a vitamin D addict you will certainly have come across the professional videos of the triple chin guru and the guru who would like to live 120 years and who instead has been chronically inflamed for as long as I know him ... But also absurd posts from doctors dedicated to health marketing and at the expense of supplement companies ...
Who agree that integration is NECESSARY to keep vitamin D levels at what they improperly define and without any studies to support the "norm".
Well, one of these scientists declares in all the direct and posts he writes on the subject IMPUNEMELY and without anyone INSULTS that to have levels of vitamin D equal to those of hunter gatherers it would be necessary to stay in the sun 8 hours a day !!
If you have never heard it, trust me ... It says just like this: 8 hours a day and also in August ...
I see the high level here only in total stupidity ...
The problems in such statements are multiple. First of all, the "levels" are measured with an incorrect analysis and which leads to incorrect diagnoses and consequently potentially very dangerous "cures". In any case, we see a study that denies, should it be necessary to deny an already insane statement, the story of the 8 hours and that shows the ignorance of these people on every issue but above all the tendency to select studies and even worse STUDY PARTS that abominably confirm their mental bias.
For example, going so far as to extrapolate a table from a work of the endocrine society which, according to them, would recommend 2.000 IU for infants and 10.000 IU for adults, totally overriding the other implications of the work (commented in my book).
What does the study say?

And it is totally useless for me to go into the details of the science trail. You can do it yourself without any problems. Another study reports that to activate 25OH (the only parameter that these genialoids control otherwise they would be clearly denied) a few minutes of exposure are enough. If you really were exposed to much longer, this time would no longer activate the storage form of vitamin D.
The study was performed with phototherapy lamps which evidently allow (also based on our experience on hundreds of clients) levels of vitamin D.
Which, especially for those who claim to define themselves as an expert in evolution and paleo diet and despite the embarrassing physical appearance, represents an epic fail of biblical proportions.
In fact, even if he is an expert in vitamin D, he should know how his metabolism works and above all the backup mechanism of lumisterol and omit all the other epimers which would be even too much.
Why are so many people unable to "raise" this blessed form of storage then? Because they are simply inflamed (inflammation from chronic, acute or low-grade silent diseases). This is another perfect mechanism in our body to tell the kidneys to produce more active form of vitamin D and therefore the reserves are "low".
The moral? If the vitamin D is "low" the problem NO and the VITAMIN D but much more. And your guru or doctor should go to the root and not dab by throwing GASOLINE ON THE FIRE.
PART 2 - THE "LEVELS" OF VITAMIN D
I'm back to the bomb on the "levels" of VITAMIN D with this Indian study. Remembering that India is an extremely sunny and year round nation. In fact, its inhabitants have very dark skin as a natural evolutionary protection.
Let's see how the study concludes.
In urban Indian men,> 1 h of casual midday sunlight exposure daily was required to maintain serum 25 (OH) D concentrations above 50 nmol / L, and> 2 h of casual sunlight exposure was needed to maintain 25 (OH) D concentrations above 75 nmol / L. Excess sunlight did not increase 25 (OH) D linearly. The sunlight exposure questionnaire was validated for use in clinical studies and surveys.
1 hour of exposure to the midday sun is sufficient to maintain 25OHD3 levels above 50 nmol / L, which is NORMAL. Which means: 20 ng / mL !!!!
Over 2 hours of exposure instead raised the 25OHD3 deposit form to 75 nmol / L, or 30 ng / mL.
BUT HERE'S THE POINT:
further sun exposure does not increase LINEARLY the filing form of the VITAMIN D.
What does this mean from an evolutionary point of view and given that the deposit form has no DIAGNOSTIC value other than the presence of conical / acute / silent inflammation?
It means that levels between 20 and 30 ng / mL are to be considered not only NORMAL but also IDEAL.
It means that our body does not need to have higher levels.
It means that when the vitamin D guru invites his followers to stay 8 hours in the sun a day or, otherwise, which is true for 100% of Westerners, "supplement" is a FALSE statement and STRICT TO MAKE MONEY SELLING D3, POISON FOR MICE.
Last note to confirm: the graph below unequivocally demonstrates that those who spend a good 5 hours in the sun can (on average) at most increase the form of deposit to 80 mmol / L in which means just over 30 ng / mL.
If you don't even believe the trivial evidence of this study, you are a decerebrated poor. Worse than the guinea pigs who have undergone in religious queue and in silence the experimental gene drugs they have administered to 91% of Italians over 12 years old.
